Rain!

The day started with a delay due to the contractor being stuck in traffic due to heavy rain. I had an unpleasant shock when someone parked in the "no parking" zone we had established for the concrete dumpster. We paid for the use of the street in front of our house for a week. The dumpster occupies some of the space, and then some space is needed in front of it for delivery. The dumpster comes on a big truck with an arm that pushes it into place. The truck pulls up parallel to and just beyond where the dumpster will go and uses the arm to diagonally push the dumpster in place. I think it is just so rude of someone to ignore the signs and park there anyway! What do they think, I'm stupid and put the signs up for no reason? They just assumed they could park there because the dumpster was already in place. Then I was in the lousy position of having to tow someone or have our work delayed. Obviously, if it came to this, I would have to tow them. It didn't come up though because the rain prevented any concrete demolition.

C used his lunch hour to meet me and buy the appliances. Yay! There's one huge job out of the way. They should be delivered late next week (Thur or Fri).

I spent some more time on the kitchen design both with the contractor and by myself.
