This is a blog we set up so interested friends and family members can follow our remodel. We're very excited and hope to share our success with you. Please don't post any identifying information in your comments. I do sometimes get behind, usually due to having to transfer my pictures from the camera and from working some long days. I usually do at least a few entries a week though, so be sure to read back a few days to catch them all.
Today I happily got back to work after a sort-of break last week. It was great to be back to making progress, and I got a lot done. The contractor emailed me a list of what he thinks needs to be done, which is quite different (read smaller) than the lists we have been trading for several months. Hmmmmm, I don't like where this is headed.

We're a married couple in the thick of an extensive remodel on a long-neglected gem. We expect it to be filled with excitement. We know there may be some frustration along the way, but in the end we'll have a great house.
