Week ending 12/25/09

Monday I was still sick, but threw caution to the wind and spent 2.5 hours on Shellac. I got the three sliding windows done and probably need about 3 more hours to finish this coat. I estimate about 36 to finish the shellac. It's not fun. I'm so sick of this job I can't wait to finish. I cannot let another year pass living in squalor.

On Tuesday, I spent another 1.5 hours on shellac and now just need to finish the interior doors. One it done, one is almost done, one is started and one is not yet started.

C is on vacation and can't stand the fumes. It's a bummer because shellac is supposed to be non-toxic, low fume, etc. I can only work while he's out, but it worked out well today - I was able to do a quick burst while he was out with the dog. It makes me work fast and I don't dread it as much if I know I'm only doing it for an hour.
