Week ending 6/11/10

On Sunday we each did 2.5 hours for a total of 5 person hours on the woodwork sanding. We made some progress and we probably have under 10 hours to go on sanding this coat.

After the sanding, we have a few hours of prework (putty, cleaning, etc) and then one small coat with about 4 hours of sanding and then WE CAN PAINT! And then FLOORING! It's within reach! There will still be lots of buffing to do but that's low priority and can wait.

Hours on windows and woodwork to date: 387.75

We have about 9 hours remaining on sanding this coat as follows:

bath door: 1 hour to finish
office window: 1 hour
bedroom door 3 hours
den door: 3 hours
kitchen window: 1 hour

We can probably be done sanding this coat in two weeks - if we both do a 2.5 hour work session next week and 2.5 hour session the following weekend, that's 10 hours and this coat is done being sanded! I don't know if we'll be able to stick to that though - it's been a really busy few weeks for me work-wise and I was in San Deigo yesterday (Thursday), today and will return home Saturday night.
