Week ending 4/27/12

On Sunday, we got new cell phones which is GREAT news.  Mine was really beginning to have problems.  We also switched companies and this will the third company we tried since moving in.  We basically can't use our cell phones at home with either of the two prior companies, so hopefully this third company will have better signal strength on our block.  We're in a dip and everyone on the block has bad reception.  This took up a lot of our time over the last few weeks with research, etc and the buying process took about 3 hours. 

On Wednesday, the contractor came by with his tile guy to get some more information before the estimate. 

Week ending 4/20/12

No house activity this week.  Are you sensing a pattern here?  We are both so burned out and having a really hard time continuing to move forward.  So many projects done, so many still to go.

Nothing much this week except we got our taxes finished.  No word from contractor yet.

Week ending Friday 4/6/12

This week we didn't do much because we had family in town visiting.

We did have one major forward motion though - the contractor came to look at the bathtub!  This is our last big project of the original remodel.  We got bad advice from 3 different sources and ended up buying a bathtub that couldn't be properly enclosed for a shower.  For almost 6 years, we've lived in a house with no shower.  For the record, I hate baths and wouldn't have taken even one if it was up to me so this has been a real nuisance.  We're going to replace the tub and finally get our shower!
